MoSATP disseminates the Decentralized Development Program I and II
The Ministry of State Administration and Territorial Planning (MoSATP) carried out on May 9, in the STAE room, a meeting with the district and sub-district administrators and the district directors from the Ministry of Education, from the Secretariat of State for Public Works and the Water and Sanitation Services
“The experiences from the past, be it good or bad, are lessons learned to take one more step forward. The decision of the District Development Commission (CDD) is of a collective character and not individual nor of personal interest. The important thing is that CDD acts according to the principles of participation, responsibility, transparent and coordination, in the execution of its tasks” highlighted Arcângelo Leite.
The Minister of state Administration and Territorial Zoning added that the number of PDD I projects, for 2011, destined to the sub-districts, totals 225, translated in a budget of around 15 million American dollars. For PDD II, at the District level, a total of 103 projects is predicted, with a budget estimate of 28 million American dollars. The difference between the two projects has a budget value of a maximum of 150 000 american dollars for PDD I and between 151 000 and 500 000 American dollars for PDD II.
“Companies that have filled the requirements and are trustworthy, must develop projects with responsibility and quality, thus winning greater trust from the Government but also from the population, since these are who benefit from these projects. The implementation of these projects aims at providing capacity and preparing the private sector, acquiring experience before the creation of municipalities”, highlighted the Prime-Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão.
