MSS signs an Agreement with UNTL for the creation of a Master Degree

The Ministry of Social Solidarity (MoSS) signed, on April 26th last, in the Taibesse Youth Centre, an Agreement with the Timor Lorosa’e National University (Portuguese acronym UNTL) for the creation of a master program with the intention of increasing and improving social services rendered at the technical level.
“The objective of creating this master course is to provide capacity to civil servants in the social security area, especially in the contributive system or the simple distribution regime. Besides this, it also allows for civil servants to attend the accountability course and other areas, at the graduate degree level” said the Minister of Social Solidarity, Maria Domingas Alves.
She also added that the budget allocated to the program is 55,000 american dollars from the MoSS budget.
The UNTL Rector, Aurélio Guterres, said that this Agreement goes towards the UNTL policy, in the sense that it improves the social services rendered, especially in what concerns social security, where this institution is ready with infrastructures, qualified teachers and the curriculum.
According to the signed Agreement, the implementation for the MoSS civil servants training will begin in July this year.
