The Former National Liberation Combatants and Martyrs Name List will be published in March
The Ministry of Social Solidarity through the Secretariat of State for Former National Liberation Combatants Affairs (Portuguese acronym SEAACLN) will soon publish the National Liberation Martyrs Name List. This list will be posted in all districts and sub-districts beginning 15th of March.
“The Eventual Committee has verified all data collected in all sub-districts and districts. Currently the mentioned data has been approved and the Former National Liberation Combatants and Martyrs Name List will be published by the Committee in the respective sub-districts” said the Secretary of State for Former National Liberation Combatants Affairs, Mário Nicolau dos Reis throughout the press conference.
As concerns the pension listed in 2008 and 2009, amended by the Decree-Law n.º 15/2008, June 4, of the National Liberation Combatants Statute, the retroactive payment of the pensions was to take place from 2010 on. The mentioned payment will be made in 2011 in accordance with the latest decision from the National Parliament regarding the budget allocation for the retroactive payment of the beneficiaries that lost the right to the pension”, said the Secretary of State.
