Timor-Leste Tourism Investment Forum: Time for Action
Timor-Leste's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and strategic location offer significant potential as a sustainable tourist destination. To promote this opportunity, the Government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, in collaboration with the Office of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is organizing the Timor-Leste Tourism Investment Forum 2025, which will take place from September 25 to 27, 2025, coinciding with World Tourism Day.
The Forum will bring together local entrepreneurs, international experts, and development partners to strengthen the tourism sector. The initiative will focus on tourism policies and strategies, as well as tourism investment networks. In parallel, dialogues with the private sector will take place, including sessions led by tourism experts.
The objective of the Forum is to facilitate business networking, promote local tourism products and services, and share best practices in order to encourage investment.
