Today, August 12, 2025, recording of the program “Página do Governo” continued. In this new edition, recorded in the studio of the Government Palace, the guest was the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, who spoke about the strategic role of natural resources in the country's development and how the Government wants to strengthen this area during the mandate.
In an interview, Minister Francisco da Costa Monteiro highlighted the negotiation process with international partners on the development of the Tasi Mane project, including three projects: a highway, a supply base in Suai, and an oil industry base in Natarbora. All of these initiatives are linked to the Greater Sunrise project.
In the exercise of his mandate as Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Minister Francisco Monteiro has the authority to develop and propose policies and draft legislation for this sector, create a sectoral administration and management system, regulate the sector's activities, and ensure Timor-Leste's maximum participation in the oil and natural gas and mineral resources sector.
The “Government Page” program is promoted by the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Government’s Spokesperson, Agio Pereira, in partnership with RTTL, and features Nélia Chaves as presenter, Ika Moniz as executive producer, and with technical support from the media team of the Office of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Government’s Spokesperson, and the Office of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
This program aims to strengthen transparency and closeness between the executive branch and the population, allowing everyone to follow, in an accessible and informed manner, the main actions and public policies underway.
