Secretary of State for Art and Culture participates in the 11th episode of the “Página do Governo” (Government Page) TV show
The Secretary of State for Art and Culture, Jorge Soares Cristovão, participated today, May 27th, 2025, in the recording of the 11th episode of the “Página do Governo” (Government Page) TV show, which will soon be broadcast by Radio and Television of Timor-Leste (RTTL) and shared on social media. 
During the interview, the Secretary of State presented the key priorities of his mandate in the arts and culture sector, highlighting the progress already made and the challenges encountered in implementing the cultural policies defined by the 9th Constitutional Government. He also addressed the strategy outlined for strengthening the sector, aiming to ensure access and participation for all citizens, particularly young people, in the country's cultural life. 
Ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting Timorese artists, promoting local artistic production, and strengthening cultural infrastructure were also discussed.
As the General Coordinator of the Organising Committee for the 12th Sports Games of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), the Secretary of State also presented the ongoing preparations for this significant multisport event, which will bring together athletes from all CPLP member states in Dili from July 17th to 27th, 2025. 
The interview also encompassed the presentation of the Secretary of State's strategic vision for a stronger, more sustainable, and accessible cultural sector, emphasising future plans to preserve collective memory, foster creativity, and ensure the appreciation and transmission of cultural heritage to new generations. 
The “Página do Governo” (Government Page) is promoted by the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Government Spokesperson, Agio Pereira, in partnership with RTTL. The TV show features Nélia Chaves as the interviewer, Ika Moniz as the executive producer, and technical support from the media teams of the Office of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Government Spokesperson, and the Government member being interviewed. This initiative aims to strengthen transparency and foster proximity between the Executive and citizens, allowing the population to follow, in an accessible and informed manner, the main actions and public policies underway.
