The Secretary of State of the Council of Ministers will host tomorrow, November 9, a workshop on Code of Ethics for Journalists, in the Convention Center at Mercado Lama, Díli.

This workshop, to which all the journalists of the Timorese media were invited, aims to facilitate the discussion on the rules that journalists should respect when dealing with sources of information, public, media companies and colleagues.

This mechanism of self-regulation represents a protection of the journalistic reputation, since it allows a journalist to exercise its role in a way that is objective, accurate and free.

The workshop begins at 8 am and lasts until 5 pm.
