The Ministry of Justice receives 8,000 more passport books to strengthen service to citizens
On Friday, December 13th, 2024, the Ministry of Justice, through the General Directorate of Registry and Notary Services (DGSRN), received another shipment of 8,000 ordinary passport books. The arrival of these booklets represents a significant reinforcement in the passport issuing process, to ensure an effective response to the needs of the population.
The Minister of Justice, Sérgio de Jesus Fernandes da Costa Hornai, personally accompanied the reception of the booklets and reaffirmed the government's commitment to continuously improving services for the population. During the visit, the Minister interacted with DGSRN employees, listening to their concerns and highlighting the importance of providing efficient, quality service to citizens.
The Ministry of Justice also announced that a new shipment of passport books will be received in January 2025 to further strengthen the issuing services.
The Minister of Justice was accompanied on this visit by the Director General of the Registry and Notary Services, Agustinho Vieira, the Director General of Administration and Finance, Otávia Celeste S. Soares, the National Director of Information Technology of the Ministry of Justice and Heads of Department.
