Under the theme ‘Bridging the energy gap: Ensuring security through interconnectivity’, the 49th ASCOPE Council Meeting focussed on promoting regional energy cooperation with the aim of strengthening energy security and sustainability. During the event, TIMOR GAP held bilateral meetings with strategic partners in the region, such as Petronas and PetroVietnam, to strengthen existing relations and promote new partnerships for collaboration in the energy sector.

The agenda included a series of activities, such as task force working sessions, B2B meetings, high-level discussions between Executive Directors, the launch of the Methane Leadership Programme (MLP) 2.0, and a technical seminar focused on new technologies for the energy transition. These moments provided the opportunity for relevant exchanges on energy security, clean energy technologies and strategies for tackling the region's common challenges. 462366815_515325287928039_7102997595524660492_n
