Minister Agio Pereira Meets with Director of Monegasque Foundation to Discuss Cooperation Possibilities
The Minister for Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, met today, August 8th, 2024, with Claudia Abate, Founder, Executive Director and President of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Post-Conflict Development (FPCD), at the Government Palace in Dili. Claudia Abate's visit to Timor-Leste, from August 3rd to 11th, is aimed at assessing needs and exploring potential cooperation projects, as well as doing a report on Timor-Leste with TV Monaco.
During the meeting, Minister Agio Pereira presented the priorities of the 9th Constitutional Government, highlighting the key areas for the country's development. Claudia Abate gave a presentation on the FPCD and its activities, discussing past projects and possible future collaborations.
The Executive Director of the FPCD expressed the organization's willingness to support Timor-Leste in close collaboration with the government and local communities to promote national sustainable development.
During her stay, Claudia Abate and her entourage, including two journalists from TV Monaco, will meet with the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, members of the 9th Constitutional Government and the Secretary General of the g7+. In addition to Dili, the visit also includes trips to other national municipalities.
The Foundation for Post-Conflict Development is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable development in fragile and conflict-affected states. Its activities include education, consultancy, project management and promoting international partnerships, with a focus on maternal health, youth inclusion and building safe communities. The FPCD is patronized by Prince Albert II of Monaco.
