Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation receives electronic equipment donated by the Government of the Republic of Korea
Today, July 5th, 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dili handed over electronic equipment donated to Timor-Leste’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
The official handover ceremony took place in the Salão Nobre (Great Hall) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Shin Man-Taek, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Dili, and Marcos da Costa, the Director-General of Bilateral Affairs for Asia and Oceania, attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Republic of Corea symbolically handed over several pieces of electronic equipment to the Director General of Bilateral Affairs for Asia and Oceania, including 170 desktop computers, 60 laptops, 60 printers and 12 projectors.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Director-General Marcos da Costa expressed his sincere thanks to the Government and people of the Republic of Korea for their generosity, support and valuable contribution. “This equipment will undoubtedly improve access to information and facilitate the day-to-day running of the Ministry”, he said. “It represents more than just technology; it signifies a continued commitment to progress and innovation”.
