Prime Minister takes up again the NSDP consultation in the Hatulia sub-district

The Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão continued with the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) consultatio in the Hatulia sub-district, Ermera district, last Tuesday, 13th of July of 2010.

The Hatulia sub-district administrator, the Ermera district administrator and all the population welcomed the Prime Minister with proper cultural rituals for the reception of a high individuality.

Custódio Soares Martins, sub-district Administrator, presented the geographic condition of the region under his administration and underlined the importance of the Prime Minister travelling to Hatulia, since the Head of Government is involved in the draft of the National Strategic Development Plan for Timor-Leste territory. “As representative of this population, I take the occasion to inform you that the Hatolia sub-district is the biggest of all the Ermera sub-districts, has 13 sucos and 59 villages. The population sums a total of 32,763 (data from the 2008 census) and has 5,729 families” specified the Administrator.

Further on the Administrator underlined the fact that the sub-district population has been waiting for the Prime Minister’s since the NSDP development focuses on the population’s knowledge and, so that this day may be realized, the population is ready to cooperate with the Prime Minister.

On the same occasion, the Hatulia Student Movement representative (acronym in Portuguese MESHAT), Horácio Borges Romeu, said they were ready to support the Government regarding the Greater Sunrise gas pipeline to Timor-Leste issue.
