Government of Timor-Leste

On August 28^th, 2023, Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão met with Bob Aubrey, a specialist in Human Resources Development at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), who is in Timor-Leste until September 12^th to support the Government in formulating strategies and policies for the development of human capital, especially in the context of preparing human resources for Timor-Leste's future membership of ASEAN. 

Bob Aubrey is the founder and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the ASEAN Human Development Organization (AHDO). Founded in 2018, AHDO is the first organisation in ASEAN to serve the community of human development professionals in the workplace. AHDO also works with companies and other organisations to define human development purposes and strategies. AHDO operates in six ASEAN countries. 

During his visit to Timor-Leste, Bob Aubrey, in addition to meeting with various members of the Government and other public officials, has scheduled a seminar for the morning of September 12^th to analyse and discuss human development policies and strategies in line with international and regional standards.
