Prime Minister discusses cooperation priorities with UN representatives

The United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Timor-Leste, Funmi Balogun, and the heads of the various UN agencies in the country met with Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão and reiterated their commitment to support the priorities set by the 9th Constitutional Government in its Program. The meeting took place on August 14th, 2023, at the Government Palace in Dili. 366715167_137815316041472_7922614177188571300_n

At the meeting, the Prime Minister presented the Executive's priorities for the term of office and acknowledged the support that the UN and its agencies have provided to the Government and people of Timor-Leste in various areas.

During the meeting, the various ongoing programmes and new projects for the future aligned with the program outlined by the 9th Constitutional Government were discussed to ensure that support and efforts are focused on the areas most needed by the country and contribute to the sustainable development of Timor-Leste.
