Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers meets with representatives of the European Union and World Bank

On Friday, July 28th, the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, held two meetings at the Government Palace in Dili, the first with the European Union Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Marc Friedrich, and the second with the World Bank representative in Timor-Leste, Bernard Harborne. f9c930da-6096-4d86-aa7a-35cbd24a4003

During these meetings, Minister Agio Pereira presented the main priorities of the 9th Constitutional Government Programme, with particular emphasis on economic development, the petroleum sector, infrastructure, human resources training, decentralisation, and job creation, through the strengthening of the national private sector and the attraction of foreign investment, as well as the accession of Timor-Leste to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The representatives of the European Union and the World Bank in Timor-Leste congratulated the Minister on this recent appointment as Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. They expressed their willingness to support the 9th Constitutional Government in achieving its priorities and to further strengthen bilateral relations throughout the term of office.
