Ministru Adjuntu Negósius Estranjeirus Xina vizita Timor-Leste hodi hametin relasoins bilateriais
Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão received today at the Government Palace the People's Republic of China Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Nong Rong, who is on an official visit to Timor-Leste from July 19th to 21st, 2023.
At the meeting, Nong Rong highlighted China's commitment to work with Timor-Leste to strengthen high-level exchanges and boost bilateral cooperation in various areas, including infrastructure, agriculture, fisheries, oil and gas, among others.
The Minister also expressed China's readiness to support Timor-Leste in strengthening human resources and other aspects of the national ASEAN accession process.
During his stay in Timor-Leste, Nong Rong also held meetings with the President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito Freitas. Furthermore, he co-chaired the first China-Timor-Leste diplomatic consultation with the Vice-Minister for ASEAN Affairs, Milena Maria da Costa Rangel.
