National Strategic Plan: The process of consulting the people is on Lospalos

Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão started yesterday (19.4.10) his consultation with the people to ascertain relevance of his Government Strategic Development Plan. Under the titled “On the Road to Peace and Prosperity: Timor-Leste’s Strategic Development Plan 2011 – 2030” Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão is confident this Plan will ensure success in the process of governance of Timor-Leste. “It was here, in Lospalos, that on the 7th of December 1978 we initiated the process of reorganization of the resistance, reaching out to all the districts. We departed from Loré towards Paicau and all the way to Oe-Cusse.”
Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão will continue his consultation work in Tutuala, Iliomar, Lautém and Luro, starting yesterday (19.04.10). From there to Baucau district where the sub-districts of Baguia, Laga, Quelicai and Baucau, Venilale and Uatukarbau will be covered between 24 and 29 April next.
In 2002, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, before becoming President of the Republic, led the national consultation to establish “Our National Vision” which resulted in the report titled “Timor Leste 2020 – Our Nation, Our Future”.
