MAPCOMS marks 100 days of governance with the launch of a magazine
The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Social Communication, Francisco Martins da Costa Pereira Jerónimo, held the launching ceremony of a magazine that describes his main activities during the first 100 days serving the 8th Constitutional Government. The ceremony took place on September 25th, 2020 in the Ministry of Transports and Communications’ auditorium, in Caicoli.
The magazine covers MAPCOMS activities since it was inaugurated, on May 29th until September 8th, 2020.
During this period, the Minister Francisco Jerónimo carried out his mission to ensure communication between the Government and the National Parliament, passing on interventions from the Members of the Parliament to the Government.
On the social communication area, the Minister visited all public and private social communication institutions located in Dili, to identify their difficulties and to analyse the possibilities of Government support.
The Minister has also been coordinating with all ministries, in order to increase the dissemination of their activities, namely through the “Naroman ba Suku” program.
For 2021, MAPCOMS will prioritize the infrastructures improvement, with emphasis on digitization equipment and the construction of the Radio and Television of Timor-Leste (RTTL, EP) and the TATOLI news agency, IP new buildings.
The ceremony was attended by, among other guests, the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Armindo Maia, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture, Longuinhos dos Santos, and the Vice Minister of State Administration, Lino de Jesus Torrezão.
