Ministry of Health will provide piped water at health posts throughout the territory
The Deputy Minister for Strategic Health Development, Bonifácio Maukoli dos Reis, paid a four-day official visit from 23 to 26 April to all health units and services in the municipality of Manatuto.
The purpose of the visit was to identify the problems faced by these health units, especially in terms of human resources and basic infrastructures.
The Ministry of Health will, in coordination with the Directorate of Water and Sanitation, resolve the issue of piped water supply in health facilities throughout the country.
The Deputy Minister also called on health professionals to work with "dedication, humanism, professionalism and a spirit of nationalism" so that the services are of quality.
"We should be ready to serve [patients] where and when they need us," said the Deputy Minister.
