Government approves request for exoneration of Brigadier-General Filomeno Paixão

The Government met today, Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Government Palace in Dili, and approved the request for the exoneration of Brigadier General Filomeno Paixão de Jesus from the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
The proposal approved by the Government, in line with Article 86 of the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, will be forwarded to the President of the Republic as the body competent to formally accept the request for exoneration.
