Institutional strengthening launch a new website

The Minister of State, Coordinator of State Administration Affairs and Justice and Minister of State Administration, Dionísio Babo Soares, opened the website (http://www.sefi.gov.tl) for Institutional Strengthening, in the Hall of the Jl. Villa Hotel, in Fatuhada, Dili, on April 7th, 2016.

In his speech, Dionísio Babo Soares said that the Secretary of State for Institutional Strengthening is emphasizing the development of institutional reform.

The Minister also stressed that in this process, the Government approved a guide for Public Administration reform, which was applied on four aspects: institutional strengthening, training of officials, civil service under the National Institute for Public Administration and raising the quality of the Civil Service Commission. He also recalled that supervision and monitoring are under the responsibility of the State General Inspection. mj3

The Minister also said that the Secretariat of State for Institutional Strengthening, the Civil Service Commission, the National Institute of Public Administration and the State General Inspection are producing a legislative reform on human resources and institutional.

There are other important aspects, such as the ongoing process of administrative reform, namely the administrative and territorial or geographic decentralization.

Concerning the website, the Minister pointed out that it is part of the transparency procedures of the Government's activity. He also added that published information on the development of Public administration will be published on this website. The website will contain a large amount of information, starting with the history to the diagnostic process, and extending to the information guide from all institutions that use it as a basis for making their diagnosis.

The State General Inspector, Francisco de Carvalho, the elected President of the Press Council, Virgílio da Silva Guterres, the Directors General and National Directors of the Ministry of State Administration attended the launch of the website.
