Prime Minister meets with President of the Republic
The Prime Minister of the VI Constitutional Government, Rui Maria de Araújo, met with the President of the Republic of Timor-Leste, Taur Matan Ruak, on Thursday, February 19th, in the Presidential Palace, at Aitarak Laran, Díli.
This was the first visit of Dr. Rui Maria de Araújo, after his swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister of Timor-Leste.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister informed the Head of State of the result of the Council of Ministers held on February 17th, where the Organic Law of the VI Constitutional Government was approved. The Chief of the Executive also followed up on some Decree-Laws sent to the President of the Republic by the V Constitutional Government and that have not yet been promulgated while waiting for necessary alterations.
Rui Maria do Araújo and Taur Matan Ruak also addressed some points mentioned by the President of the Republic in his speech on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony of the VI Constitutional Government, especially in the areas of Public Administration Reform and harmonization of the laws
This allowed the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic to search for a way to their implementation.
