Cooperation Focal Points of CPLP together in Dili

The Summit of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) began with the XXIX Annual Meeting of the Cooperation Focal Points, which takes place on 17 and 18 of July at the Noble Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, in Dili.
The opening session was chaired by the Director-General of the CPLP, Georgina Benrós de Mello, by the Director for Cooperation of the CPLP, Manuel Clarote Lapão, and by the Cooperation Focal Point of the country that still has the presidency of the CPLP, Albertina McDonald, of Mozambique .
Albertina McDonald, focal point of Mozambique, handed over to Lídia Martins, Cooperation Focal Point of Timor-Leste that will assume the rotating presidency of the CPLP in the next two years.
In the first of these two days, the focal points of the Member States of the CPLP present the various proposed activities and the documents to be analysed by the XIX Annual Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the CPLP, which will take place on July 22.
At the end of the two days of work, on the 18th, Manuel Clarote Lapão and Lídia Martins will conduct a press conference, scheduled for 12:30, at the Noble Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
