"g7+" of Fragile States will be held in Dili

The capital of Timor-Leste will be hostingThe g7+ Conference of Fragile Countries” that will be held on 8th April 2010.

The main purpose of the meeting is to share experiences among them aimed at getting the better way of promoting de sustainable development of the participating countries.

The announcement of the conference was delivered by the Prime Minister, in Bali, in “a forum for democracy” that occurred in December of 2009.

“We wish to assume our responsibility as State-Nation of the International Community and to support the development and democratic consolidation for other suffering people, using our own collective experience”, said the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, in his speech delivered in that forum and also said: “let us explore this topic in the next International meeting in Dili on the fragile States, in the next month of April, that all participants from countries around the world will attend.

Besides Timor-Leste, the countries that take part in "g7+" of fragile States are Afghanistan, The Central African Republic- the Republic Democratic of Congo (RDC), Serra Leoa, Haiti and the Costa Marfim.
