Government expresses its solidarity with South Korea

The Government of Timor-Leste presents its deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Korea for the incident that occurred in the Itaewon neighbourhood, in the Korean capital, Seoul, last October 29^th.

At least 153 people were killed and more than 130 injured in an incident that occurred during a large gathering of people celebrating Halloween in the streets of Seoul.

The Spokesperson of the 8^th Constitutional Government, Minister Fidelis Magalhães, on behalf of the Council of Ministers and the entire Government, stated that "our thoughts are with all those who are mourning" and expressed his "solidarity with the South Korean people and Government". END
