Government of Timor-Leste

On the 20^th of September, at a ceremony held in the ‘Palácio das Cinzas’ in Dili, the Minister of State and Minister of Health of the Seventh Constitutional Government, announced the new health motto: “ As a team, we are here to serve you”.

Rui Maria de Araújo stated “we must all assimilate that we are all here to serve our people and our country in order to improve the quality of health services in Timor-Leste and to satisfy the needs of the public”.

The Minister pointed out that it is important to have an effective communication strategy and appealed to all professionals, especially to those working in health, that during public service, they always bear in mind the motto: “I am here to serve”.

The new motto will be released through a national campaign targeted at all health professionals, which will also take place at health centers and hospitals.
