Government of Timor-Leste

The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste receives, on July 23^rd, the 10th Conference of the Heads State and Government of CPLP, which will take place in the Noble Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, in Dili.

The Summit Preparatory Committee, chaired by Francisco Guterres Lu Olo and composed of representatives from each of the Member States of the CPLP, along with the Office of Support for the presidency of the CPLP from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MNEC), are finalizing preparations to this great event which will gather, in the capital of Timor-Leste, several Presidents of the Republic of CPLP Countries, as well as other senior representatives of nations and world organizations.

The Supporting Office for the Presidency of the CPLP, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, has already made known the schedule for the week preceding the Tenth Conference of Heads of State and Government of the CPLP:

- July 17^th and 18^th: 29^th Meeting of the Cooperation Focal Points - RPFC (Conference Room of the Diplomatic Institute of MoFAC);
- July 19^th: Meeting of the Technical Preparatory Group of the 175th CCP (Conference Room of the Diplomatic Institute of MoFAC);
- July 21^st: 175th Meeting of the Permanent Agreement Committee - CCP (Conference Room of the Diplomatic Institute of the MoFAC);
- July 22nd: Nineteenth Meeting of the Council of Ministers (Noble Room of the MoFAC);
- July 23rd: Tenth Conference of Heads of State and Government of the CPLP (Noble Room of the MoFAC).

Access to the conference venue will be limited to holders of a valid accreditation and, from July 7^th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation will provide an Accreditation Room for delegations and guests.

The media should do its accreditation, via e-mail, until June 30^th.  From July 7^th, it will be possible to pick it up, in an appropriate office, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

In the places where the events will occur, rooms will be available for the media, fully equipped with computers and printers, Internet access and television. Requests for interviews should be made ​​to the responsible for media, via e-mail (Joaquim Fernandes: joaquimfernandes2003@yahoo.com.br).

Besides the usual airlines flying to Timor-Leste, Garuda Indonesia will also operate daily flights to and from Dili. As expected, during the events, access to the Nicolau Lobato International Airport will be conditioned.

According to the Supporting Office for the presidency of the CPLP, to date, have confirmed their presence, the President of Portugal, Cavaco Silva, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, and the President of the Republic of Cape Verde, Jorge Carlos Fonseca. The Portuguese Prime Minister, Pedro Passos Coelho also confirmed his presence

Invitations were also sent to neighbouring countries, such as Australia and Indonesia, as well as New Zealand, Japan, Fiji and all the ASEAN countries.
