Holy See announces official logo and motto for Pope Francis' visit to Timor-Leste
Today, May 8th, 2024, the Holy See announced the official logo and motto for the Apostolic Visit of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, to our country.
In the publication, the Holy See explains that “the logo features, in the centre, the image of Pope Francis blessing, to symbolise the protection that the Timorese people receive from God during the Holy Father's Apostolic Journey”. Behind the image of Pope Francis, “we have the globe, with the geographical map of Timor-Leste in the foreground”. 
The motto chosen for the Papal Visit, “May your faith be your culture”, is an “exhortation and encouragement to live the faith in harmony with culture, according to the traditions of the Timorese”.
The Apostolic Visit of His Holiness Pope Francis, from September 9th to 11th, 2024, is eagerly awaited and represents a historic moment for our country.
