The Government expresses its condolences on the passing of Father Agostinho da Costa
The Government of Timor-Leste extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Reverend Father Agostinho da Costa, which occurred on June 3rd, 2026, at the Eduardo Ximenes Regional Hospital (HOREX) in Baucau.
At this time of mourning, the government extends its heartfelt condolences to the Diocese of Baucau, to the family and friends, and to the entire Timorese Catholic community, which has lost a priest dedicated to the service of the Church and the communities he served throughout his pastoral life.
