SoSPTEP organizes training in Journalism

The Secretariat of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy (SoSPTEP), organized on March 26th, 27th and 28th, at the Obrigado Barack building, a training in journalism, to the communication officers of the SoSPTEP. The training was based on the written production of news, press releases, preparation of articles and photography.

At the opening session, the Secretary of State for Media, Nélio Isaac Sarmento, noted that, with this training, the SoSPTEP is preparing its human resources for the dissemination of information to the public, through mass media.

According to the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, Ilídio Ximenes da Costa, the training aims to prepare the staff in the establishment of their relationship with the Media.

“This training aims to increase professional practice of Journalism, it is not meant to replace Timorese journalists. It is only intended to increase the level of professionalism on the practical exercise of information dissemination”, added Ilídio Ximenes da Costa.

“Information dissemination is essential. The target of this training is, for the time being, the communication officers from each directorate, as a way of facilitating data collection and the preparation of their articles”, outlined the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy.
