Ministry of Health trains workers on Evidence Based Planning

The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the international agencies World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, USAID and Health Improvement Project (HADIAK), organized a meeting, from October 6th to October 11th, in the subdistrict of Ermera, with local workers in a Seminar on Evidence Based Planning.

The National Director for Policies, Planning and Cooperation of the Ministry of Health, Ivo Nereu da Costa Freitas, advanced that this training on Evidence Based Planning might help workers to provide a quality service, thus contributing to the achievement of development goals, nationwide.  Ivo Nereu da Costa Freitas, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, thanked the partners for the support they have been giving to the program.

The representative of WHO, Luís dos Reis, ensured support to the Ministry of Health, on training workers into a more effective and efficient service.

The Director of USAID Health Improvement Project, Reginald Gibson, considered this as an important training, “because it will help workers to design a quality program”. This pilot training will be extended to other districts.
