The Director of the National Directorate of Employment, Paulo Alves, said “since July 22nd, 2013 the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, approved 24 proposals and signed agreements with the beneficiaries of the self-employment programs. The program aims at creating their own employment. There is still hope that they may create jobs for others, if they are good managers and are successful. “
“The Government of Timor-Leste, through SoSPTEP, will continue to provide training and equipment to entrepreneurs in order to empower the communities who have the initiative to do business,” said Paulo Alves.
The representative of the beneficiary groups, Luciala da Costa, thanked the support received and promised to use the equipment in a responsible manner, so that the business may bring benefits to their families and the community.
