The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste signed an agreement on Technical Cooperation with the Argentine Republic at United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 27, 2013.
The Minister of State of Foreign Affairs of Cooperation of Timor-Leste, José Luis Guterres, and his Argentinean Counterpart, Hector M. Timerman, signed the agreement to expand and promote bilateral relations between both countries through technical cooperation, which includes inter alia exchange of advisors, consultants and technicians, training of experts and technicians, joint implementation of projects, exchange of information, studies and research results and any other form of cooperation the parties may agree upon.
In concluding the ceremony, the Ministers assured each other of the implementation of the agreement. The Argentinean Government will organize a visit to Timor-Leste in order to identify areas of cooperation in due course.
