The Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, is on a series of Official Visits from 3 to 15 September to four Southeast Asian countries.

From 3-5 September the Prime Minister was in Vietnam and from 5-9 September he visits the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Prime Minister will visit Laos before his last official visit on the tour – to Myanmar – until the 15th of September.

These visits are part of Timor-Leste’s efforts to strengthen its bilateral relations with the countries of the region who are Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states. Previously this year the Prime Minister visited Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.
