The community of the suco of Naimeco, in the sub-district of Pante Makassar, district of Oe-cusse Ambeno, gave a hectare of land to the Secretariat of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy (SSPTEP) for the construction of a Training Center. In the first day of August, the community held a traditional ceremony to mark this event.
The elders, protagonists of this ceremony, come from the villages of Baqui, Bonomesa, Neco and Teinae, which are part of the suco of Naimeco. Besides this tradition, they left their signature in a protocol, witnessed by the district administrator of Oe-Cusse Ambeno, Salvador da Cruz, who is responsible for Land and Property in the district, and the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, Ilídio Ximenes da Costa.
Raimundo, one of the elders of the suco of Naimeco, informed that the community gave this land of free will as a way to contribute for the capacity building of future generations.
Ilídio Ximenes da Costa was fairly satisfied and thanked the initiative to carry out this event, which will benefit future generations: “nowadays, it is difficult to witness initiatives such as the one we have just seen. This attitude from the community of the suco of Naimeco demonstrates how the community actively participates in national development”.
Also in Oe-Cusse Ambeno, the Secretary of State paid a visit to a few self-employment groups, from the sucos of Taiboco and Lela-Ufa, both located in the sub district of Nítibe.
