The Centre for Technical Training on Communication (CEFTEC) has commenced the year with a professional training course for Timorese journalists.

The selection process took place in the last week of January. From the 15 candidates registered, 12 were selected following an admission test conducted by a pedagogic team composed of CEFTEC, the “Centro Protocolar de Formação Profissional para Jornalistas” (Portugal), by a translator from the National Directorate of Translation Services and by the Coordinator of the Media Support Programme.

The following training courses are also scheduled for 2013 under the Media Support Programme: 2^nd training on Portuguese Language Applied to Journalism, Economic Journalism, Training on Legal Issues Journalism, Interaction with the Media and Training of Trainers on Communication Matters.

The training courses are ministered at the CEFTEC facilities, located at the Government Palace, and are ministered by CENJOR trainers.
