The Secretariat of State for Youth and Sports (SoSYS) has received three vehicles and nine portable computers from the German Government through the international agency Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Timor-Leste. The ceremony for the handover of the godds took place on 25 January 2013 at the SEJD building in Dili.
“Today we received from GIZ three more vehicles and nine portable computers. We have to thank GIZ for this gesture expressed by our friends. I call upon the youth to take advantage of, and preserve, these goods so that they can last long and you may use them in the exercise of your tasks”, the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Miguel Manetelu, stated.
On the same occasion, Silvio Decurtins, GIZ Director, said the following: “we feel proud for the possibility to offer additional logistic support to our partner as a symbol of a collective effort aimed at supporting the Timorese youth and wish that our ties of cooperation with the Secretariat of State for Youth and Sports keeps solid thereby ensuring more benefits and progress for the youth of Timor-Leste”.
