Grant of days-off May 17, 18 and 21 2012
The IV Constitutional Government of Timor-Leste has decided that May 17, 18 and 21 will be days-off, for the full day, for all staff and agents of the Ministries and dependent services, as well as the institutes and organisms integrated in the State’s indirect administration.
May 20 is the 10th Anniversary of Restoration of Independence, and will be celebrated due to its historical importance several events will take place before and after the day itself. For this reason, the Government considers it important to grant days-off, to allow the population to participate in all the celebrations.
This decision is based on Law no. 10/2005, of August10, which establishes the legal regime for holidays, official commemorative dates and days-off.
