The Secretariat of State for Professional Training and Employment (SoSPTE) organised for  the first group of 6 Timorese  to work in Australia to depart the 8th of March. This group is composed of four men and two women who will work in the area of hospitality and tourism.

“I ask you to remain disciplined and well behaved since this is a reliable indicator for entrepreneurs to enable them to give more opportunities for the colleagues who will follow you. In addition to representing Timor-Leste in Australia, you will receive many other benefits, including technical training, experiencing a professional  and disciplined working  culture , improvement in the English language as well as income”, said Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment, Bendito Freitas.

The Secretary of State also added that the negotiations on this issue had been taking place since the beginning of Governance and it is only now that it is finalised that the  SoS cannot fail to thank the Australian Government, through its ambassador to Timor-Leste.

The Ambassador of Australia to Timor-Leste was pleased by the willingness shown by the Timorese to transform their lives through this program, and hopes that they return to Timor –Leste with some capital so that they can  benefit on their return.
