Secretary of State for the Promotion of Equality (SoSPE), Idelta Rodrigues, will participate in the III Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on Women’s Development to be held in the city of Doha, Qatar, February 12-14. This meeting will be attended by representatives of 120 member countries of NAM.

Timor-Leste will make an official statement on the efforts of Timor-Leste in the development of women, especially the budget allocated to Gender, the implementation of the Law Against Domestic Violence, and progress in the areas of labor, legislation, health and politics.

The Ministerial Meeting on Women’s Development is part of the effort of the Organization of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) which aims to improve women’s status of each member country.
