Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, on his return from a visit to South Sudan, on October 21, gave a press conference at the Dili international airport, where he informed the g7 + countries members of the will to present the “Objectives for Peace and the State Building” at the meeting with the G20 developed countries. The meeting of the G20 developed countries will take place next November in South Korea.

“According to the MDG – Millennium Development Goals agenda the underdeveloped countries will not gain benefits to the extent that none is able to meet the target set for 2015. In November, at the city of Busan in South Korea, there will be a meeting with the G20 and on this occasion the g7 + countries members will present their agenda to achieve their development, and this consists of bringing the “Goals for Peace and State Building” as an alternative to the MDGs”, said the Prime Minister.

The Head of Government added that, before reaching the MDGs, the underdeveloped countries should establish institutional mechanisms for the Peace and State building and then try to achieve the millennium development goals.
