The Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry, through the National Directorate of Industry, signed on September 6, contracts with the beneficiaries’ to support the implementation of programs according to the proposals made by them to the National Directorate of Industry of MTCI. According to the National Director of Industry, António de Araújo, the 136 groups are from the 13 districts.
After the budget execution assigned by the Ministry, the beneficiaries are required to submit reports of their activities in order to facilitate the Ministry in verifying the results.
The Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Industry, Gil Alves explained that this activity is also one of the IV Constitutional Government’s programs in order to support the community in developing small industrial activities, which can help raise their level in the economy.
The Minister advised the beneficiaries to be more creative in program implementation, since the results will benefit themselves, thus ceasing to rely solely on the government.
Carlos B. Soares, responsible for the Haburas Tahu Tempe industry, one of the beneficiaries, expressed satisfaction with the Ministry’s program and promised that he will make all the efforts to implement the budget given by the Government, according to the proposal.
The contract signing ceremony was held at the Convention Center in Díli, with the presence of inspectors and Directors of the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry.
