The Premier of the State of New South Wales, Barry O’Farell, committed himself to the Timor-Leste Foreign Minister, to identify a suitable space to accommodate the Consulate General of Timor-Leste in the state capital of New South Wales, Sydney. The promise was made during the recent visit of the Minister Zacarias Albano da Costa to Australia, on June 15.

Barry O’Farell also agreed to continue to support Timor-Leste. At the invitation of the Timor-Leste Minister, he said that, in an opportune time, he would visit the country accompanied by a group of businesspersons to explore business possibilities.

During this visit to Australia, the Foreign Minister also met with the Timorese Communities in New South Wales, Canberra (when he visited the Embassy in the Australian capital) and the State of Victoria, while visiting Melbourne.
