The National Directorate for Water and Sanitation (DNAS) held a workshop on 9 June 2011, in the Ministry of Infrastructures in Dili, for 88 facilitators for water and sanitation, from 65 sub-districts, who work for DNAS.
The workshop aimed to clarify the facilitators for drinking water and sanitation on the importance of their work to the community and explain the process of transition from temporary employee to permanent employee.
The National Director of DNAS, João Pereira Jerónimo, informed that “the drinking water sector is one of the important sectors in this young nation of Timor-Leste. The water supply and sanitation facilitator assumes the responsibility to work for the people with responsibility and patriotism, despite facing many challenges, obstacles and limitations, to be properly valued by the community”.
