On April 15, the Minister of Finance will arrive to the United State’s Capital, Washington D.C., where she will participate in a Public Meeting about the g7+.

On the following day, Emília Pires will participate in the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings that will take place between April 11 and 16, where several meetings are in agenda, namely with the IMF, World Bank representatives and Ministers of Finance from other Nations.
Every year, during the spring, hundreds of governmental representatives, private sector, civil society, journalists and observers participle in these World Bank and meetings

The highlight of the meeting is the joint meeting of the IMF Monetary and Financial Committee and the World Bank Development Committee, to discuss the work progress developed by both institutions. Also in the agenda are seminars, regional meetings, press conferences and many other events that will focus on global economy, international development and the world financial markets.

On April 17 and 18, still at the IMF headquarters, the Minister of Finance will participate in a Conference about Resource Mobilization in Development Countries.

In the afternoon of April 18, the Minister will begin her trip back to Timor-Leste, where she should arrive on April 21st.
