The President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta, today, February 12th, 2026, swore in Regina de Jesus as Vice Minister of Finance of the 9th Constitutional Government, at a ceremony held at the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace in Dili. 
The appointment was made by Presidential Decree No. 17/2026 of February 11th, pursuant to Articles 106(2) and 86(h) of the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, upon the Prime Minister’s proposal.
Regina de Jesus, previously Director-General of the Treasury at the Ministry of Finance, succeeds Felícia Claudinanda Cruz Carvalho.
