Official Visit by the Prime Minister to United States, Cuba, Brazil and United Kingdom
The Timor-Leste Prime Minister begins the official visit to the United States of America, starting in New York. Among the several meetings and events to take place in this city, is highlighted:
• World Harmony Foundation Investment Forum for Timor-Leste, on the 21st
• UN Security Council Meeting, on the 22nd
From New York, the Prime Minister follows, on the 25th of February, to the United States capital city:
• Meeting with the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
• Meeting with the USAID Administrator
• Meeting with the US-ASEAN Business Council
• Speech at John Hopkins University, School of Advance Studies
On the 25th, the Prime Minister travels to Havana, Cuba, where, among several meetings and visits to historical and touristic sites, highlights’ the meeting with the Timorese students that are studying in that country. Also, in the agenda, there’s a visit to the School of Latin American Medicine and the School of Scientific Research.
On the 1st of March, the Prime Minister travels to Brazil. In Brasília the capital city, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão has a meeting with Dilma Roussef, President of Federative Republic of Brazil.
On the 6th of March the Prime Minister arrives in London, where he will participate in the Forum related to g7+. Among several meetings in the agenda, we highlight the meeting with the Secretary for Development Cooperation.
On the 8th of March the Prime-Minister returns to Díli, arriving on the 12th.
