To celebrate the official accession of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to ASEAN, an official ceremony commemorating this milestone will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the Lecidere Square Garden in Dili. The celebrations will also take place in the capitals of all municipalities across the country.

5:50 p.m.: Brief remarks by Amarjit Singh, Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor-Leste, the country that will assume the ASEAN Chair in 2025.
