The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, met, on July 17th, 2025, with the President of the Board of Directors of Radio and Television of Timor-Leste, EP (RTTL, EP), Elizeu Isaac Fernandes, and his team, to analyze the results of the work carried out by the public company and discuss the main challenges identified. 
During the meeting, the RTTL team presented an overview of activities and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continuing to transmit rigorous information in line with government guidelines for the sector, to guarantee a responsible and transparent public service.
Minister Agio Pereira recognized the strategic role of RTTL as a public media body, thanked the work carried out and highlighted the positive collaboration with the Office of the Government Spokesperson, particularly within the scope of the Government Page program, which has contributed to keeping the public informed about the results of the current Executive. The Minister also expressed his willingness to support RTTL in overcoming the challenges presented and encouraged the team to maintain professionalism and responsibility in carrying out their duties. 
Elizeu Isaac Fernandes, who assumed the presidency of RTTL on March 13, 2025, recalled in his inauguration speech that “RTTL is not just a means of communication, but a pillar of Timorese democracy”, assuming the commitment to “ensure that this public company continues to serve the public interest with professionalism and informative rigor”.
