35th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence Day in Timor-Leste (28 November 1975 – 28 November 2010)

Timor-Leste will commemorate, on the 28 November 2010, its 35th anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence. The commemorative ceremonies will take place at the Government Palace.
According to the program, prepared by the Organizing Committee of the Ministry of State Administration and Territorial Planning, the ceremony will begin with the celebration of a mass, on the 27 November, at 4 pm, in the Dili Cathedral. The official ceremony, or in other words, the hoisting of the flag, will take place on the 28 November, at 10 am, and will be presided by the President of the Republic, Dr. José Ramos-Horta, accompanied by the President of the National Parliament, Fernando La Sama de Araújo, the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão and the President of the Court of Appeals, Claudio Ximenes and remaining guests.
The ceremony will end with the lowering of the flag at around 5 pm.
